California High School Basketball - Arroyo fells Newark Memorial
January 4, 2023: San Lorenzo, CA 94580 Arroyo Dons (San Lorenzo, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Newark Memorial Cougars (Newark, CA), 69-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Arroyo upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Dons travel to Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA) to clash with the Monarchs in a West Alameda County - Shoreline bout on Friday, January 6. The Monarchs go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Mt. Eden lost 50-31 in their recent non-league bout against Foothill (Pleasanton, CA)
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Irvington Vikings (Fremont, CA) in a Mission Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Newark Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 76-64 non-league loss to Westview (Portland, OR).
