Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV), 74-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cabell Midland upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to South Charleston (South Charleston, WV) to play the Black Eagles in a Mountain State bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Black Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-3. South Charleston won 62-55 in their recent league bout against Capital (Charleston, WV)

Next up, the Big Reds play the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Parkersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 56-42 non-league win over Nitro (Nitro, WV).
