Illinois High School Basketball - Neuqua Valley nips Cornerstone Christian
January 4, 2023: Bloomington, IL 61705 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Neuqua Valley Wildcats (Naperville, IL) and the host Cornerstone Christian Cyclones (Bloomington, IL), saw Neuqua Valley's basketball squad hold off Cornerstone Christian by a count of 61-54.
With the victory, Neuqua Valley upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to DeKalb (DeKalb, IL) to play the Barbs in a DuPage Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Barbs come into the challenge with a record of 10-4.
Next up, the Cyclones play the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Cornerstone Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 54-48 non-league win over Midland (Varna, IL).
