California High School Basketball - Encinal overwhelms El Cerrito
January 4, 2023: El Cerrito, CA 94530 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA) and the host El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), saw Encinal's basketball squad wallop El Cerrito by a tally of 71-45.
With the victory, Encinal improves its record to 3-9 on the campaign. The Jets travel to Hayward (Hayward, CA) to play the Farmers in a West Alameda County - Shoreline challenge on Friday, January 6. The Farmers come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Hayward won 48-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Livermore (Livermore, CA)
Next up, the Gauchos play the Fremont Tigers (Oakland, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 5. El Cerrito will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 88-65 non-league loss to Albany (Albany, CA).
