Virginia High School Basketball - Nansemond-Suffolk Academy knocked off by Kempsville
January 4, 2023: Suffolk, VA 23434 The Kempsville Chiefs basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints to 55 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Chiefs now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salem for a Beach contest on Friday, January 6. Kempsville will battle a Sundevils team coming off a 55-50 non-league win over Norcom (Portsmouth, VA). The Sundevils record now stands at 2-7.
The Saints (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Williamsburg Christian Academy (Williamsburg, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Williamsburg Christian Academy ran past Grove Christian School (Richmond, VA), 74-28, in a league contest.
