In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Riverside-Martin Knights basketball team scored a good 72-57 triumph over the Pamlico County Hurricanes.

In their next game, the Knights meet the North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 match, on Friday, January 6. Riverside-Martin will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 73-55 league loss to South Creek (Robersonville, NC).
