Connecticut High School Basketball - St. Bernard thwarts Waterford
January 4, 2023: Waterford, CT 06385 The St. Bernard Saints (Uncasville, CT) basketball knocked off the host Waterford Lancers (Waterford, CT), 60-43 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Saints (5-2) will now prepare for their test against New London (New London, CT). The Whalers go into the Eastern Connecticut I test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, New London notched a victory over Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT), 63-36, in a non-league test.
The Lancers now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Windham for a Eastern Connecticut I test on Friday, January 6. Waterford will encounter a Whippets squad coming off a 58-48 league win over East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Whippets record now stands at 5-2.
