North Union Wildcats (Richwood, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Buckeye Valley Barons (Delaware, OH), 44-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Union upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Indian Lake (Lewistown, OH) to play the Lakers in a Central Buckeye - Mad River bout on Thursday, January 5. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Indian Lake lost 48-43 in their recent non-league bout against Marion Harding (Marion, OH)

Next up, the Barons play the Wellington School Jaguars (Columbus, OH) in a Mid-State - Ohio bout, on Friday, January 6. Buckeye Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 44-32 non-league win over Granville Christian Academy (Granville, OH).
