January 4, 2023: Philadelphia, PA 19145 Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants (Philadelphia, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Girard Academic Music Program Pioneers (Philadelphia, PA), 51-18 in a league bout.
With the win, Math Civics & Sciences upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Mighty Elephants host West Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA) to play the Speedboys in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Speedboys go into the bout with a record of 2-1. West Philadelphia lost 39-7 in their recent league bout against Masterman (Philadelphia, PA)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Paul Robeson Huskies (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Girard Academic Music Program will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 54-30 league loss to Roxborough (Philadelphia, PA).
