Illinois High School Basketball - Johnsburg overwhelms North Boone
January 4, 2023: Johnsburg, IL 60050 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL) and the visiting North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL), saw Johnsburg's basketball squad wallop North Boone by a tally of 52-27.
With the victory, Johnsburg improves its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Skyhawks travel to Harvard (Harvard, IL) to confront the Hornets in a Kishwaukee River challenge on Friday, January 6. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 1-10. Harvard lost 61-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Oregon (Oregon, IL)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL) in a Big Northern challenge, on Saturday, January 7. North Boone will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Dukes & Duchesses come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 49-16 non-league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, IL).
