North Carolina High School Basketball - Crest thwarts East Rutherford
January 4, 2023: Shelby, NC 28152 The Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 59-43 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Chargers (8-0) will now prepare for their test against South Point (Belmont, NC). The Red Raiders go into the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, South Point notched a victory over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 72-56, in a non-league test.
The Cavaliers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hendersonville for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. East Rutherford will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 56-35 non-league loss to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-11.
