January 4, 2024: Oxon Hill, MD 20745 Douglass Eagles (Upper Marlboro, MD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Potomac Wolverines (Oxon Hill, MD), 75-56 in a league bout.
With the win, Douglass upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD) to play the Lions in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 8-1. Largo won 48-33 in their recent league challenge against Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Fairmont Heights Hornets (Capitol Heights, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Potomac will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 79-75 league win over Surrattsville (Clinton, MD).
