January 4, 2024: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA) and the visiting Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA), saw Hanover's basketball squad wallop Rappahannock by a count of 76-29.
With the victory, Hanover upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Varina (Richmond, VA) to play the Blue Devils in a Capital challenge on Monday, January 8. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Varina won 72-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA)
Next up, the Raiders play the Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Rappahannock will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 117-53 league loss to Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA).
