Illinois High School Basketball - Hersey nips Lakes
January 4, 2024: Lake Villa, IL 60046 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL) and the host Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL), saw Hersey's basketball squad hold off Lakes by a tally of 55-50.
With the victory, Hersey improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL) to play the Hilltoppers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Glenbard West lost 48-32 in their recent league challenge against York (Elmhurst, IL)
Next up, the Eagles play the Grayslake Central Rams (Grayslake, IL) in a Northern Lake County challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Lakes will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 65-52 non-league loss to Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL).
