Maryland High School Basketball - Clear Spring can't hold off GVCS Broadfording
January 4, 2024: Clear Spring, MD 21722 The GVCS Broadfording Lions basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Clear Spring Blazers to 36 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lions now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Life Christian for a Mason-Dixon Christian contest on Friday, January 5. GVCS Broadfording will battle a team coming off a 37-11 league loss to Cumberland Valley Christian (Chambersburg, PA). The record now stands at 0-2.
The Blazers (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD). The Leopards enter the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Smithsburg nudged Brunswick (Brunswick, MD), 64-31, in a league contest.
