January 4, 2024: Viborg, SD 57070 The Viborg/Hurley Cougars basketball team (Viborg, SD), was nudged 63-61 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD)
The Beavers now possess a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCook Central/Montrose for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 9. Hanson will battle a Fighting Cougars team coming off a 63-54 non-league loss to Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Fighting Cougars record now stands at 3-4.
The Cougars (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Dakota Valley was nudged by Parkston (Parkston, SD), 51-50, in a non-league battle.
