January 4, 2024: Pewamo, MI 48873 The Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Marshall Redhawks to 33 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dansville for a Central Michigan contest on Tuesday, January 9. Pewamo-Westphalia will battle a Aggies team coming off a 53-48 non-league loss to Covenant Christian (Grand Rapids, MI). The Aggies record now stands at 4-1.
The Redhawks (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lumen Christi Catholic (Jackson, MI). The Titans enter the Interstate 8 contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Lumen Christi Catholic ran past Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI), 59-38, in a non-league contest.
