January 4, 2024: West Bend, IA 50597 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA) and the visiting Paton-Churdan Rockets (Churdan, IA), saw West Bend-Mallard's basketball squad wallop Paton-Churdan by a tally of 59-9.
With the victory, West Bend-Mallard improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA) to confront the Rebels in a Twin Lakes challenge on Friday, January 5. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 9-1. Sioux Central won 67-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Ridge View (Holstein, IA)
Next up, the Rockets confront the Woodbine Tigers (Woodbine, IA) in a Rolling Valley challenge, on Friday, January 5. Paton-Churdan will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record.
