The Cheney Blackhawks basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Ferris Saxons to 31 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Blackhawks now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Valley for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12.

The Saxons (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Spokane (Mead, WA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Mt. Spokane was defeated by Clarkston (Clarkston, WA), 56-54, in a non-league contest.
