Maryland High School Basketball - Bishop Loughlin holds off Sandy Spring Friends
January 4, 2025: Sandy Spring, MD 20860 The Bishop Loughlin Lions basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests to 56 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now have a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Chaminade for a non-league game on Sunday, January 5. Bishop Loughlin will confront a Flyers team coming off a 84-71 non-league win over Monsignor Scanlan (Bronx, NY). The Flyers record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Sandy Spring Friends falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Wildebeests travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD) to confront the Falcons in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 6-6. Our Lady of Good Counsel won 63-59 in their recent non-league outing against McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD)
