Illinois High School Basketball - Lutheran fells Cornerstone Christian
January 4, 2025: Bloomington, IL 61705 The Lutheran Crusaders basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Cornerstone Christian Cyclones to 58 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Crusaders now have a 4-12 record. They play next when they travel to Illini Central for a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. Lutheran will confront a Cougars team coming off a 54-49 non-league win over Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 8-6.
With the loss, Cornerstone Christian falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Cyclones host Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 11-4. Yorkville Christian lost 89-85 in their recent non-league game against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL)
