Washington High School Basketball - Wahkiakum holds off Coupeville
January 4, 2025: Cathlamet, WA 98612 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Wahkiakum Mules basketball team scored a close 60-59 triumph over the Coupeville Wolves.
The Mules (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia Adventist Academy (Battle Ground, WA). The Kodiaks go into the 1B Columbia Valley contest with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Columbia Adventist Academy tipped Oakville (Oakville, WA), 71-46, in a league battle.
The Wolves now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Friday Harbor for a 1B/2B Northwest battle on Tuesday, January 7. Coupeville will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 80-50 non-league loss to Granite Falls (Granite Falls, WA). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-9.
