California High School Basketball - Kennedy can't get by Franklin

Franklin Panthers (Los Angeles, CA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Kennedy Cougars (Granada Hills, CA), 61-58 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Franklin advances its record to 4-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to Eagle Rock (Los Angeles, CA) to meet the Eagles in a Northern match on Wednesday, January 8. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 6-7. Eagle Rock lost 53-51 in their recent non-league match against Glendale (Glendale, CA)

The Cougars now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reseda for a Valley Mission match on Monday, January 6. Kennedy will meet a Regents squad coming off a 61-56 non-league loss to Hart (Newhall, CA). The Regents record now stands at 6-2.
