Tennessee High School Basketball - Loretto knocks off South Gibson
January 4, 2025: Loretto, TN 38469 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN) and the visiting South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN), observed Loretto's basketball team overcome South Gibson by a margin of 59-43.
The Mustangs (15-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lauderdale County (Rogersville, AL). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Lauderdale County dropped by Colbert County (Leighton, AL), 57-52, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Trinity Christian Academy Lions (Jackson, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. South Gibson will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 75-44 non-league win over Urbana (Urbana, IL).
