Illinois High School Basketball - Marmion holds off St. Charles East
January 4, 2025: St. Charles, IL 60174 The Marmion Cadets basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host St. Charles East Fighting Saints to 43 in the Cadets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cadets now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Marquette for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. Marmion will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 43-36 non-league win over Earlville (Earlville, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-9.
With the loss, St. Charles East falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Fighting saints host Geneva (Geneva, IL) to confront the Vikings in a DuKane game on Tuesday, January 7. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 13-2. Geneva won 58-46 in their recent non-league game against Conant (Hoffman Estates, IL)
