January 4, 2025: Wilson, AR 72395 Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Maynard Tigers (Maynard, AR), 73-31 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Rivercrest upgrades its record to 7-3 on the year. The Colts travel to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR) to face the Hornets in a 3A Region 3 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 7-7. Harrisburg lost 68-61 in their recent non-league match against Southside (Batesville, AR)
The Tigers now sport a 1-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hoxie for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. Maynard will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 68-37 non-league loss to Tuckerman (Tuckerman, AR). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-7.
