In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Temple Christian Eagles basketball team scored a close 54-47 triumph over the Oakridge Owls.

The Eagles (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Country Christian (Fort Worth, TX). The Eagles go into the TAPPS 4A District 1 contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Lake Country Christian nipped Fort Worth THESA (Fort Worth, TX), 53-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Owls confront the Trinity Valley Trojans (Fort Worth, TX) in a Southwest Prep - North contest, on Wednesday, January 8.
