Georgia High School Basketball - South Paulding defeats Pope
January 4, 2025: Marietta, GA 30062 The South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) basketball were winner over the host Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA), 57-49 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Rome for a AAAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 7. South Paulding will play a Wolves team coming off a 77-73 non-league win over Cartersville (Cartersville, GA). The Wolves record now stands at 10-3.
With the loss, Pope falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to River Ridge (Woodstock, GA) to play the Knights in a AAAAA Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 7-9. River Ridge lost 57-40 in their recent non-league bout against Episcopal School of Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL)
