Illinois High School Basketball - Schaumburg overwhelms Elgin
January 4, 2025: Schaumburg, IL 60194 The Schaumburg Saxons basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Elgin Maroons to 14 in the Saxons non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Saxons now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Benet Academy for a non-league game on Monday, January 6. Schaumburg will confront a Redwings team coming off a 54-37 non-league win over St. Patrick (Chicago, IL). The Redwings record now stands at 12-0.
With the loss, Elgin falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to West Aurora (Aurora, IL) to confront the Blackhawks in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Blackhawks go into the game with a record of 6-1. West Aurora won 50-26 in their recent non-league game against Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL)
