Illinois High School Basketball - Mundelein thwarts Barrington
January 4, 2025: Mundelein, IL 60060 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mundelein Mustangs (Mundelein, IL) and the visiting Barrington Fillies/Broncos (Barrington, IL), observed Mundelein's basketball team knock off Barrington by a score of 38-30.
The Mustangs (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Blue Devils come into the North Suburban challenge with a 2-14 record. In their last challenge, Warren Township was knocked off by Highland Park (Highland Park, IL), 34-28, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Fillies/Broncos encounter the Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL) in a Mid-Suburban - West challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Barrington will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Saxons come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 37-26 non-league win over Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL).
