The California Grizzlies (San Ramon, CA) basketball were winner over the host Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA), 56-45 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Grizzlies now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. California will play a Highlanders team coming off a 61-52 non-league win over Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Rancho Buena Vista falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Valley Center (Valley Center, CA) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9.
