January 4, 2025: DeKalb, IL 60115 The DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) basketball toppled the visiting West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL), 64-55 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Barbs now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Oswego for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. DeKalb will play a Panthers team coming off a 50-45 non-league win over Robinson (Robinson, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, West Chicago falls to 15-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Fenton (Bensenville, IL) to play the Bison in a Upstate Eight bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Fenton lost 58-32 in their recent non-league bout against Willows Academy (Des Plaines, IL)
