Maine High School Basketball - Dirigo nips St. Dominic
January 4, 2025: Lewiston, ME 04210 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) and the host St. Dominic Saints (Lewiston, ME), observed Dirigo's basketball team edge St. Dominic by a margin of 47-43.
The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Black Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Maranacook edged Madison (Madison, ME), 50-47, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Saints battle the Lisbon Greyhounds (Lisbon Falls, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. St. Dominic will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 64-12 league loss to Morse (Bath, ME).
