The Howland Tigers basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Girard Indians to 27 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Austintown-Fitch for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14.

With the loss, Girard falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Struthers (Struthers, OH) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 0-4.
