January 4, 2025: Progreso, TX 78579 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX) and the visiting Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX), saw Progreso's soccer squad hold off Alvarado by a count of 1-0.
The Red Ants (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against United South (Laredo, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, United South Harlingen (Harlingen, TX), 2-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Indians battle the Westwood Panthers (Palestine, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, January 9. Alvarado will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to New Diana (Diana, TX).
