The Myers Park Mustangs basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Weddington Warriors to 25 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Wednesday.

With the victory, Myers Park upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Berry (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cardinal in a 4A Conference 49 bout on Friday, January 7. The Cardinal come into the bout with a record of 5-7. Berry lost 60-36 in their recent league bout against Olympic (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Warriors play the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) in a 4A Conference 58 bout, on Friday, January 7. Weddington will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 44-34 league win over Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC).
