Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Animo Robinson Monarchs (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Valor Academy (Van Nuys, CA), saw Animo Robinson's basketball squad hold off Valor Academy by a count of 42-35.

With the victory, Animo Robinson upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Vistamar (El Segundo, CA) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Vistamar won 59-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Larchmont Charter (West Hollywood, CA)
