The New Iberia Yellowjackets basketball team scored 56 points and held the host David Thibodaux Bulldogs to 49 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Teurlings Catholic for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. New Iberia will battle a Rebels team coming off a 76-51 non-league win over Kaplan (Kaplan, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 6-6.

The Bulldogs (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 1-13 record. In their last contest, Acadiana was nudged by Franklin Academy (Winnsboro, LA), 47-38, in a non-league contest.
