West Virginia High School Basketball - St. Marys tops Madonna
January 5, 2023: St. Marys, WV 26170 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the St. Marys Blue Devils (St. Marys, WV) and the visiting Madonna Blue Dons (Weirton, WV), saw St. Marys's basketball squad knock off Madonna by a tally of 65-46.
With the victory, St. Marys improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Trinity Christian won 50-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Frankfort (Ridgeley, WV)
The Blue Dons now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mathews for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Madonna will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 54-50 non-league loss to Cardinal (Middlefield, OH). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-4.
