Iowa High School Basketball - AGWSR overwhelms Janesville
January 5, 2023: Ackley, IA 50601 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA) and the visiting Janesville Wildcats (Janesville, IA), saw AGWSR's basketball squad wallop Janesville by a tally of 67-36.
With the victory, AGWSR improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to South Hardin (Eldora, IA) to play the Tigers in a North Iowa Cedar - West challenge on Friday, January 6. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. South Hardin lost 51-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the North Tama Red Hawks (Traer, IA) in a Iowa Star challenge, on Friday, January 6. Janesville will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 44-38 non-league loss to Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA).
