Minnesota High School Basketball - Barnesville tops East Grand Forks
January 5, 2023: East Grand Forks, MN 56721 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Barnesville Trojans (Barnesville, MN) and the host East Grand Forks Green Wave (East Grand Forks, MN), saw Barnesville's basketball squad knock off East Grand Forks by a count of 58-50.
With the victory, Barnesville upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Crookston (Crookston, MN) to play the Pirates in a AA Section 8 challenge on Monday, January 9. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Crookston won 54-39 in their recent league challenge against Menahga (Menahga, MN)
Next up, the Green Wave play the Sacred Heart Eagles (East Grand Forks, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 6. East Grand Forks will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 47-36 league win over Red Lake Falls (Red Lake Falls, MN).
