Minnesota High School Basketball - Fairmont crushes Martin County West
January 5, 2023: Fairmont, MN 56031 Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Martin County West Mavericks (Sherburn, MN), 69-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Fairmont upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to St. Peter (St. Peter, MN) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 3-3. St. Peter won 74-51 in their recent league bout against Mankato West (Mankato, MN)
Next up, the Mavericks play the Cleveland Clippers (Cleveland, MN) in a A Section 2 bout, on Friday, January 6. Martin County West will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Clippers come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 50-49 non-league loss to Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN).
