January 5, 2023: Monett, MO 65708 Nevada Tigers (Nevada, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Monett Cubs (Monett, MO), 67-44 in a league bout.
With the win, Nevada upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Tigers host East Newton (Granby, MO) to play the Patriots in a Big 8 bout on Monday, January 9. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-5. East Newton lost 67-37 in their recent non-league bout against Diamond (Diamond, MO)
Next up, the Cubs play the Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish (Springfield, MO) in a Big 8 bout, on Monday, January 9. Monett will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 46-20 league win over Reeds Spring (Reeds Spring, MO).
