The Rio Linda Knights basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Ponderosa Bruins to 41 in the Knights non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Knights now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pioneer for a contest on Monday, January 9.

The Bruins (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen enter the contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Placer was nudged by Union Mine (El Dorado, CA), 39-24, in a non-league contest.
