January 5, 2024: Southgate, MI 48195 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson Bears (Monroe, MI) and the host Anderson Titans (Southgate, MI), saw Jefferson's basketball squad hold off Anderson by a tally of 52-46.
With the victory, Jefferson improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Huron (New Boston, MI) to confront the Chiefs in a Huron challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Huron lost 77-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Perkins (Sandusky, OH)
Next up, the Titans confront the Universal Academy Eagles (Detroit, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Anderson will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 61-18 non-league loss to Ypsilanti (Ypsilanti, MI).
