Texas High School Basketball - McMullen County can't hold off Aransas Pass
January 5, 2024: Aransas Pass, TX 78336 The Aransas Pass Panthers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting McMullen County Cowboys to 55 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 9-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Diego for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Aransas Pass will battle a Vaqueros team coming off a 64-48 non-league loss to Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX). The Vaqueros record now stands at 18-5.
The Cowboys (18-6) will now prepare for their contest against San Isidro (San Isidro, TX). The Tigers come into the 1A Region IV District 32 contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, San Isidro was nudged by Taft (Taft, TX), 82-43, in a non-league contest.
