Indiana High School Basketball - Evansville Memorial fells Castle

Evansville Memorial Tigers (Evansville, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN), 70-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Evansville Memorial upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Tigers host Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Mt. Vernon won 49-33 in their recent league bout against Carbondale (Carbondale, IL)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Evansville Central Bears (Evansville, IN) in a Southern Indiana bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Castle will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 51-47 non-league loss to Pike Central (Petersburg, IN).
