Illinois High School Basketball - Christopher crushes Elverado
January 5, 2024: Elkville, IL 62932 Christopher Bearcats (Christopher, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL), 69-33 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Christopher upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Bearcats host Johnston City (Johnston City, IL) to play the Indians in a Black Diamond - West bout on Saturday, January 6. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Johnston City won 57-54 in their recent non-league bout against Pope County (Golconda, IL)
Next up, the Falcons play the Cairo Pilots (Cairo, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Elverado will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Pilots go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 89-50 non-league win over Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL).
