January 5, 2024: DeQuincy, LA 70633 The Rosepine Eagles (Rosepine, LA) basketball knocked off the host DeQuincy Tigers (DeQuincy, LA), 64-52 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Merryville (Merryville, LA). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Merryville went down by Buckeye (Buckeye, LA), 45-20, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Vinton for a 2A District 5 test on Tuesday, January 9. DeQuincy will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 89-27 non-league win over Johnson Bayou (Cameron, LA). The Lions record now stands at 11-3.
