Michigan High School Basketball - Melvindale topped by Edsel Ford
January 5, 2024: Dearborn, MI 48124 The Edsel Ford Thunderbirds basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Melvindale Cardinals to 48 in the Thunderbirds non-league victory on Friday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trenton for a Downriver contest on Thursday, January 11. Edsel Ford will battle a Trojans team coming off a 60-53 league loss to Allen Park (Allen Park, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 6-3.
The Cardinals (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Crestwood (Dearborn Heights, MI). The Chargers come into the Western Wayne contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Crestwood prevailed over Garden City (Garden City, MI), 59-35, in a league contest.
